The Edge Retreats x Girls Got Grit

Noosa Weekend

A weekend of Adventure, Joy and remembering yourself.

I'm ready

You’re not avoiding time away because you don’t need it. You’re avoiding it because you’re afraid of what you’ll come back to. That everything will pile up. Fearful that the load will feel heavier because you dared to stop.

And somewhere along the way, you started putting yourself last. So long ago that you’re not even sure what you enjoy anymore.

This weekend isn’t about escaping your life.
It’s about meeting it differently.

WHAT this IS...

This weekend

is a 2 night, small group camping and 4 wheel driving weekend for women who've been carrying a lot. Mentally, emotionally, quietly, and are ready to put something down without guilt.

This isn't a retreat where you're asked to work on yourself. It's a retreat where play, adventure and nervous system safety bring you back online - Naturally!

When your nervous system has space to reset, you don't come back to more weight, you come back with more capacity, more clarity and more of yourself back online.

Rest doesn't add to the load; it changes how you carry it.

WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE

01

Beach Driving & Camping Skills - Learn how to drive on sand, set up camp, feel confident outdoors. Even if it's your first time

02

Adventure and Joy as the catalyst - Laughter, movement, simplicity and shared moments that bring you back into your body

03

Self Awareness without heaviness - Human Design and gentle insight woven in. Not to analyse, but to recognise yourself

04

Community without performance - No pressure to share or fix. You're met exactly where you are.

this is for you.

how the weekend will flow

"Fantastic experience, great location and very knowledgeable instructors. The event was well presented with just the right amount of humour and friendly approach. Thanks Dave & Emily"

- Janet

Grit because you choose it

This weekend isn’t about proving your strength. It’s about reconnecting with grit in a new way. Not grit born from survival or responsibility, but the kind that comes from self-trust.

Knowing your capacity.
Choosing the hard thing because you want to.
Discovering that joy and resilience can exist together.

Not because you pushed through.
But because you were supported.

Not because you have to!

“

Emily walked around and talked to the ladies explaining the importance and the enjoyment of taking the driver role. My wife got behind the wheel after saying she would only be passenger. This was a wonderful experience

LET'S BRING YOU BACK TO LIFE

WANT IN?

Not by doing more, but by giving yourself enough space for your nervous system to soften and your presence to return.

It's time to feel connected again so you can remember what you love. It's time to remember you again.

THE FACILITATORS

This weekend brings together two worlds that complement each other in a very natural way.

Girls Got Grit (through Australian Offroad Academy) is built on years of experience in four-wheel driving. Focused on safety, skill-building, and helping women feel confident behind the wheel in a way that feels steady and supported.

The Edge Retreats were created from a different place. A desire to help women reconnect with themselves through real-life experiences, using curiosity, challenge, and play as the entry point.

Together, this weekend isn’t just about driving on the beach. It’s about what happens when you try something new, feel supported while you do it, and start to trust yourself in the process.

Troy - Australian Offroad Academy

Troy has been around four-wheel driving for as long as he can remember, with experience spanning decades and across three continents. He’ll be leading the Saturday training, helping you build the skills to feel confident driving on the beach.

But for Troy, it’s never really just been about the driving. He’s been behind the wheel since he was 12,
and what’s kept him there isn’t the tracks, it’s being out in nature. Slowing things down enough to actually hear yourself again, and reconnect to parts of you that get lost in the noise of everyday life. He brings a calm, grounded presence to the weekend. Someone who knows when to step in and guide, and when to give you the space to figure it out for yourself. Alongside the practical side, Troy also understands the value of slowing things down. He has experience facilitating breathwork and creating space for people to reset adding a quiet depth to the weekend without overcomplicating it.

While this is a women-focused weekend, Troy is there in a way that feels respectful, supportive, and easy to be around.

Emily - Emily Rose Collective & The Edge

Emily created Edge Retreats from her own experience of wanting more, more freedom, more confidence, and a deeper connection to herself. She knows what it feels like to stand on the edge of something unfamiliar…
curious, a little unsure, and not wanting to do it alone.

Using Human Design as a lens, not a rulebook she weaves curiosity and awareness throughout the weekend. Helping you notice where you hold back, where you lean in, and what shifts when you start to trust yourself. It’s not about fixing anything. It’s about seeing yourself more clearly, and remembering who you are underneath the noise.

Together

Troy brings the grounded, practical side. Emily brings curiosity, awareness, and reflection. It’s not about adrenaline or fixing anything. It’s about trying something new in a supported space, and walking away with more self-trust
and a quiet remembering of who you are.

Meet Emily and Troy

Friday | Arrival, Dinner & Unwind
3:00 PM onwards | Arrivals & Settle In
Arrive anytime from 3:00 PM and begin to gently land into the weekend. As you arrive, we’ll be there to help you set up your camp, whether that’s a tent, swag, or camper. If you’re unsure about anything, just ask there will always be helping hands nearby. Thats what its all about. This is your invitation to leave the Monday–Friday version of yourself behind and start to slow down. You’re welcome to bring something small to add to a shared nibble platter (completely optional), and we’ll have a few things there to get us started.
Once everyone has arrived, we’ll gather, a chance to meet, chat, and ease in together. Depending on timing, Emily will gently introduce a simple Human Design lens, not something to “learn,” but something to notice within yourself over the weekend.
Evening | Dinner at Habitat. Once everyone has arrived we will then head over to the Habitat Restaurant and onsite brewery for a relaxed dinner. This first night is intentionally simple, a chance to connect, settle, and arrive without feeling like there’s anything you need to do or be.

Saturday Morning | Breakfast & Preparation
6:30 AM – 8:00 AM | Breakfast Together
The kettle will be on, the BBQ hot, and the morning slow. Bring your breakfast of choice and cook alongside each other, sharing stories, easing into the day, and getting comfortable in the space. This weekend isn’t about having the best setup, it’s about realising how capable you already are with what you’ve got and knowing you can lean on others if you don’t
Emily will touch on Human Design in a practical, grounded way, helping you understand how you meet challenge, excitement, and new experiences. Troy and Emily will also be there to offer tips, tricks, and adjustments, whether that’s your setup, your gear, or anything that came up overnight helping you feel confident before we head out for some extra fun.

Saturday | Beach Drive & Adventure
8:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Beach Driving Adventure
We’ll cross the Noosa River and head out onto the stunning sands of Teewah Beach.
Before we drive, we will walk everyone through the practical side vehicle setup, safety, and what to expect creating a calm, supported foundation. This is where Troy’s expertise and Emily’s encouragement come together. As you drive and explore, you’ll be gently invited to notice what comes up, excitement, nerves, self-talk, hesitation, pride. Nothing to fix. Nothing to push through. Just awareness. The Goal - laughter, encouragement, and moments of “I can’t believe I just did that.” Adventure is the catalyst self-trust is what grows.

Late Afternoon | Return to Camp
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Back to Camp
We’ll return to camp in the late afternoon, sandy, salty, and full.
This is your time to freshen up, rest, wander, journal, or simply be. There’s no schedule here, just space for the day to land.

Saturday Evening | Campfire Dinner & Connection
6:30 PM onwards | Dinner at Camp
Tonight we’ll cook together back at camp.
After a day of stepping outside your comfort zone and sharing new experiences, this is where things naturally soften. We’ll gather around the fire, share food, stories, or simply sit quietly under the stars. Nothing is forced. Nothing is expected. Just connection, curiosity and space to be exactly as you are.

Sunday Morning | Breathwork & Closing
Morning | Guided Breathwork & Integration
We’ll begin the morning with a guided breathwork session, a chance to reconnect with yourself and integrate the weekend.
After that, the space is yours.
You might choose to: take off and head home, stay a little longer, explore the Habitat grounds
go for a walk, paddle, or simply sit in the quiet. There’s no rush.
10:00 AM | Official Close
We’ll gently close the weekend around 10:00 AM, but you’re welcome to move at your own pace as you leave.

You are not selfish

is it time for you?

You're allowed to take time for yourself. Not because you've earned it, but because it changes how you meet your life.

If something in you sirred while reading this, thats enough. Let yourself feel into it

QUESTIONS

Do I need my own 4wd?

Not necessarily. You can attend with someone who has one, come in your car and then carpool for the 4wding or talk to us about options

What if I dont have all the gear to camp?

Firstly, don't think you need to have the fanciest of gear to do one of these weekends. There will be others there if you don't have everything; that's the whole point of these weekends. Women helping women. We also have some equipment and bedding that we can provide; just reach out to us.

What if I've done lots of beach driving before, will I still get something out of this weekend?

Troy is a wealth of knowledge, so even if you think you know a lot, we promise you will still come away a lot more confident and knowledgeable. On top of that, this weekend is about more that. It's about getting you to tune back in while you are driving and camping instead of running on autopilot. Listening to that inner critic and helping you understand how you are uniquly wired to interact with the people around you

What if I have zero 4wding experience?

We can't wait to see you! What a better place to learn and be supported and see if its your next favourite adventure activity.
